CommonView Capital was founded in 2015 by Scott Budoff and Tom Perlmutter, private equity investors with over 55 years of combined investment experience, to pool the substantial capital resources of their family offices.  CommonView Capital makes control equity investments in lower middle market companies based in the United States that provide high value-added products and/or services with meaningful barriers to entry and the potential for rapid growth, both organically and through acquisitions.  We are currently investing our first fund, CommonView Capital Fund I.

Our family office backed investment fund offers both the opportunity to create a long-lasting partnership with flexible capital that has a long term investment horizon, while also offering the opportunity to develop a winning partnership with successful private equity investors.  CommonView Capital Fund I, is backed by our family offices and several other high quality, like-minded investors, that share our common investment view.

We make control equity investments in US based companies with at least $15 million in annual sales and $2.5 million in cash flow that have the potential for rapid growth. We provide the support, introductions and resources (both human and capital) to allow the companies we partner with to accelerate their growth and strengthen their market position to maximize the future success of their business.  Our philosophy is simple, if we do what is best for the businesses we partner with, everyone wins....management, employees, customers, owners and the communities we live and work in.
